Grant Applications

Under our Section 137 powers (Power of local authorities to incur expenditure for certain purposes not otherwise authorised), Lidgate Parish Council is allowed to use a small proportion of the precept each year to award a grant to village organisations. These must be charities or not-for-profit organisations and the grant must directly benefit Lidgate residents.

The Parish Council has a grant-making policy which is available to view on this page, along with the application form.

All grant applications for the following financial year must be received be the last Friday in October.

Any applications received will not be considered until the Full Parish Council meeting held in November following the end of October deadline of any such year.

Payment of any successful grant will be made in the new financial year from the following April.
